Vancouver or bust...

Pablo needs a job in Vancouver...if you know anyone who knows anyone about anything that I might want...let me know!

Other than that the snow continues to fall. We have had a week of morning sunshine, followed by afternoon and evening snowstorms making for some of the best conditions of the season.

The steeper parts of the mountain are really starting to shine with the base now nudging 200cm. I turned an otherwise bad news day very good on Monday by dropping one of the most challenging chutes on the cliff face - solo!!

Sometimes it takes bad news for you to realise that you should make the most of what you have and that if you never push yourself you'll go home regretting having never done it. Dropping out of the chute and into the bowl for some of the best lines of the season has definitely been one of the highlight mornings of the winter.

I'm heading back there today as we have had another nice dusting in the last 24 hours and the cliff was closed yesterday due to high winds and visibility issues - YEWWW!!!!!

Nanu - be careful what you promise you might end up with a nephew for the summer. Don't suppose you and Uncle I are heading to Greenland or anywhere fun anytime soon??

Wil - I'm going to try my luck in the big smoke over the next few weeks otherwise I will be back in Oz soon.

Wil El-dropper, I'll see you the free rent and the fiddy and raise you home-cooked meals!

Pablo - I've always found when one door closes, a window opens...seize the day.

Well, that would be grand. I can't offer pay but I can offer no work – only fun. I can't guarantee good weather but I can guarantee midges – the most evil biting insects in the whole world and, believe me, we've experienced many. We've no Greenland plans for this year – only a week's walking up at the snow-line in Switzerland at the end of May but we have several visitors booked in especially mof and appendage whom we're really looking forward to.

Sad the season in Big white is coming to an end. We have enjoyed all the pictures of the snow etc.

Knowing you Pablo, a new door will open very soon -- and you will be up to the challenge.
